I love a good story and more so the telling. I have long been fascinated by that of Lee Harvey Oswald and the assassination of JFK. Wherever the truth lies, the ambiguity around those well-rehearsed facts found in film and photographic archives is rich and lends itself to a creative retelling. I celebrate that ambiguity through abstraction – what is truth and what is complex yet enduring fiction, may never be fully revealed. This topic for a series of art works allowed me to choose the narrative and embellish with my own ‘truth’ and in the telling I chose to work in woven and printed silks.
